Rebuild Question

Just a quick question.  I replaced a bad disk and doing a rebuild.  I noticed that during the rebuild, my other drives are also being written to.  Just curious as to why when only disk 4 is being rebuilt?

    Mounting a disk writes to its data structures recording the mount status, date, and time.  It is quite normal.
