Every few days I have this situation where the CPU is very busy (80%-100%) for long minutes, sometimes even an hour,

while top command doesn't show the cause.

Yesterday it was very extreme and the server practically froze.

I managed to record a video of the CPU usage + top command.

    Best Solution would be to 

    1. Post up a complete Diagnostic.

    2. Boot up your Machine in Safe Mode which disables all Plugins/Dockers and see if anything repeats.

    3. Boot up Normally and Turn on Essential Plugins/Dockers and see if anything repeats. 

     

    That's how I would tackle the situation. It can be literally anything from a bad cable, Docker eating up CPU or Hardware failing.
