W10 VM very slow Internetdownload (solved)

Featured Replies

I need some help with my VM. I set up a W10 VM and everything works fine, with the exception of the download speed from the internet. Uptream is as it should be! But I `ve got a 100 MBit downloadrate and checked it in a speedtest a view times with results between 1 Mbit and 6 MBit. That`s a huge loss. The VM is on an unassigned M2 nvme disk. Other PCs using the same router reach nearly 100 MBit. So that`s ok. Many thanks for possible help.

Can you install the Speedtest plugin and test the Unraid server itself? And then immediately test the VM too (using the speedtest website)?

Need to isolate if this is a VM issue or if it's a server issue.

Can you redo the VM speedtest on speedtest.net instead?

Different sites not apples to apples.

Also, are you running any proxy / VPN?

No Proxy. No VPN on unRAID, but a VPN Server ( secstick server ) running on my VM.

# testdasi. It' s solved. Thanks for your tip. I had the vpn-server ( secstick server, mentioned above ) and also a lancom vpn-client on my VM. I deleted both, because you suggested it could be the cause for trouble. Below the text I post the new speedtest and now it`s as it should be. thanks a lot. Now it`s my part to test which vpn software do impair the internet download traffic ( or both together do not work! ).
