DigitalDivide
I'm having recurring problems with my HTPC that's used for accessing my Unraid Media. It's a new system, Gigabyte H55M-USB3 MB with Win 7 64. Every couple of reboots I loose my internet/network access and my network is listed as Unidentified. Whatever I do I can't seem to get my connection back except to physically unplug my WRT310Nv2 router from the AC and then replug it in and at the same time reboot my pc. It's the only way. I can't double click the Unidentified to change it to Home (which is should be). If I disable and reenable the nic, it goes back to unidentified. During this whole time my laptop running Win 7 64 is perfectly fine and still able to access the internet. I just can't figure out why my network gets listed as Unidentified. I have the latest drivers for both the nic and router. This is driving me crazy! Any ideas? Link to comment
Userpaul
Not sure if this will help but there is a few pointers in this post http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=8347.msg80739#msg80739 Link to comment
DigitalDivide
Yup, looked at all that. I've tried about everything I've found on the internet and nothing seems to help. Late last night I found something that indicated that Home Sharing may cause problems with networking and routers. It suggested to turn that off. I did so and will now see what happens over the next couple of days. Link to comment
