caplam
Last week i had a bad experience with virt manager. I created a vm and did not pay attention to the path of the image file. It was stored in /var/lib/libvirt which is not persistent so i lost my vm. I'm converting all my vms to qcow2 to be able to take snapshots (very convenient before upgrading a server). Unfortunately unraid can not manage snapshots with a gui. So i use virt manager (docker) or Webvirtmgr (docker). But when i take a snapshot it goes to /var/li/libvirt/qemu/snapshot. There is no setting in virt manager to change the path of the snapshot. Ideally i'd like to put the snapshots in /mnt/cache/domains/myvm which is persistent. But i don't know where to configure that. I've seen no option in libvirtd.conf or qemu.conf. Quote Link to comment
testdasi
If they are dockers then you are better off asking in the docker support topics. Quote Link to comment
caplam
will try that. I was thinking perhaps it could be an option of libvirt as the docker relies on libvirt commands. Quote Link to comment
