Remote into Unraid server; Best practice?

What is best practice to remote into the Unraid server at home when I am out?  An example is, I would normally remote into from work but I am unable to load any software / VPN on my work PC.  I would need to access the server from a browser to download and upload files as necessary.  In the past I used Qnap, and they had a built in DDNS service and a web GUI for downloading and uploading.

 

I thought I could sync a folder with a cloud service, but the amount of data I would need to store on the cloud would be impractical and pricey. 

 

Any insight would be great!
