December 8, 20196 yr Hey guys - just looking to narrow down my search, I want to sync my photos to a shared folder on my main PC, but I want my UNRAID server to do the work. There are a few sync apps in the appstore, any recommendations. I have been trying with no success to get Duplicati to backup to OneDrive so trying a different tack, share a folder on my PC in the OneDrive folder and sync this with my URAID share. Any other suggestions to help this use-case welcome, just want to secure my photos so I can sleep soundly at night!
December 8, 20196 yr Are you looking to sync or to back up? Same same but different. For example, if u accidentally delete a file, a sync will ensure that file is also gone on the other side. That is why we don't run back up as a sync. Specifically to your case, you don't want the Unraid server to perform the back up (a "pull" ). You want your main PC to decide what and when to back up onto the Unraid storage (a "push" ).
