November 25, 201015 yr Along the same lines, I have a share called "data" that is currently excluding disk1. disk1 has some files on it, but I would like to now include the disk in the "data" share. Can I simply remove the exclusion to have it join the share, or do I need to remove the files (wipe it) first? Share details: Share name: data Allocation method: high-water Min free space: 0 Excluded disks: disk1
November 25, 201015 yr Make sure you remove the data right up to removing the top level directory on that disk, ie the directory that is the name of the share. Once you update the share settings I would also stop and start the array. Peter
