I have a dilemma, hard these errors on 2 drives.

 

My parity (this is a new drive I zero'd and was fine few weeks back)  Also a drive in the array (drive 6) was also precleared and fine :/

 

 

UDMA CRC errors are a connection problem, not a disk problem, 9 times out of 10 a bad SATA cable, though a single error like the one on the bottom disk is nothing to worry about, also they don't reset, as long as it's not increasing you're fine, if still increasing replace the cable.

Thanks for the reply, I waited to respond to check if the errors increased. They havent, i changed the cables to be sure.

 

One further question, the smart report shows the errors on the dashboard. Will these always be there?

 

You can click on it and select acknowledge.   If another error happens in the future it will turn back to be a thumbs down
