I found the Noctua NH-U12DX i4, does anyone know if this one work with SuperMicro X10SRL-F motherboard with a Xeon E5-2680-V3, and the Rosewill RSV-L4500. Will it have enough clear to close the server case lid?

 

If can use the NH-U12DX i4, which cooler will offer the most cooling power the NH-U12DX i4 or NH-U9DX i4?

From personal experience, I don't think 4U case has enough clearance for the NH-U12DX with its 158mm height.

Even Notua said "Common 4U cases usually don’t provide sufficient clearance for tower coolers with 120mm fans and 158mm height." in the FAQ so I would say it is unlikely to work for you with the 4U case.

 

The U12 has better cooling capacity than the U9 but only in overclocking.

For non-overclock CPU's (e.g. Xeon), you can sleep well with the U9.
