November 25, 201015 yr Morning/Afternoon/Evening all, Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself, before asking for a bit of advice. I've been reading these forums for about a week now (since discovering UnRaid) and it's safe to say I'm hooked! I'm in the process of planning my own UnRaid build at the moment to use as a media server at home. Previously I used FreeNAS, however due to a few issues with my setup I abandoned the media centre/server idea for about a year - but now I've discovered UnRaid and got MediaPortal working properly I'm back and keen to get things sorted... I'm based in the UK, which is posing me a few problems following the guides/builds on here as most of you guys seem to be over in the states and have access to the wonder that is Newegg! I'm fortunate enough to work for a major UK etailer, therefore I do have better access to components than most, but still struggling with things like cases and hot swap enclosures. Do we have any other UK-based folk on here that may be able to point me in the right direction? Cheers, Marc

I'd just stumbled across that Rajahal, thanks! A lot of the components seem to be no longer available unfortunately, but I have at least found myself a motherboard/ram/cpu combination now - and I can source all via my employers to save a few pennies. Main thing I'm struggling with is a case, as I want to use hot swap bays - therefore need a case with enough front accessible 5.25" bays to use with the drive enclosures, or a case that comes with them preinstalled. I can't seem to find any of the really popular ones over here with at least 9 bays (to fit 3 4-in-3 or 5-in-3 enclosures). Hmm... Cheers!
