When you are following along with the AD instructions (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=3464.0), you need to reboot the unRAID server after you select Active Directory as the 'Share Security'  in the 'Identification' section of the 'Settings' page. The proper order is:

1. Stop the array

2. Goto 'Settings' page

3. Select 'Active Directory' as the 'Share Security' in the 'Identification' section

4. Click on 'Apply' right underneath the 'Share Security'

5. Goto 'Main' page and 'Reboot'

6. Go back to 'Settings' page

7. Fill in 'AD domain', 'AD account login' and 'AD account password'

8. Click on 'Join' right underneath 'AD account password'

Hello, i just got the PRO upgrade, but I don't see the settings in Identification to activate AD, and in CIFS AD is greyed out. I am using 5beta2 - how do I activate AD?

Jon

I believe it is one of the security options on the Settings page.

I was able to get my 5 beta6 connected to the domain and I rebooted. I set security to AD but cannot find a place to setup the security to allow groups like we had in 4.7.

Does anyone know where they moved that to? I've been through all the menu's and have not found it.

thanks,

Phil
