Bridge two docker containers

Featured Replies

My host is 192.168.1.190

I have Plex set up on a static local IP 192.168.1.150

Tautulli by default bridges to the host IP, 192.168.1.190, if I switch my Plex container back to host mode everything functions great.

But if I give Plex a local static IP, 192.168.1.150, Tautulli can no longer communicate with Plex, even though it populates everything with the correct static IP.

I am thinking I need to bridge the Tautulli container to the 192.168.1.150, if this is correct, how do I accomplish this?

I run three separate Plex servers in my home all on different systems, so I cannot use the default host IP.

Any help would be great,

Thank You

Josh

Assign the same custom network to both Plex and Tautulli. Plex can have a static address (recommended), while Tautulli can have a dynamic address.

You also need to update the settings of Tautulli to point to the new IP address of Plex.

I am not sure how to do this, I have Plex set to br01 custom, it won't let me set Tautulli to br01 with the same ip but different port

Leave the IP assignment field empty for Tautulli, it then will get an IP address automatically assigned (DHCP).

It is not allowed to specify duplicate addresses when using custom networks.

Everything works great now, thank you so much for your help :)!
