@SpaceInvaderOne how do you install your version of shinobi... so far for a year..  it will no longer install from your video...  i get the database error issue  from a new install  and the logs from a new install...  doesnt matter how much i delete the appdata folder and reinstall your version and then login  i can not get this installed...  the maria db  error  and then telling you to run these commands doesnt help...  can you try on a clean system...  whats going on

Hi @comet424
SpaceInvaderOne has answered this question in post number 2 of this thread. I have just done the whole video from scratch, encountered your error, then fixed it with this:

On new installs it is now necessary to manually install the database files on first run.

Going to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/8080/super  and logging in you will see this

image.png.580c93a646ea84eedc0441f44525b0cc.png

Now goto the docker tab and select the shinobipro container and click console.

image.png.5de215618e9c5a3edc356969cbb3fe60.png

This will open a terminal inside of the container. Now run these commands below:

mysql
source sql/framework.sql;
source sql/user.sql;

exit

Now close terminal window and restart the container.

There is no requirement to pay for a license, all the features of pro are free to use. If clicking on the "don't show for 1 week" is not acceptable to you, yes, you need to pay to remove the popup.

Is it possible to run this with the iGPU on an i5 10400? Its a UHD 630. I can't find a way to enable it.

Anyone know if this updates inside the docker container?

The container on unraid apps shows it hasn't been updated since "Last Update: Feb 2, 2022".

The other shinobi containers also haven't been updated in years, I'd like to test shinobi but would like to get the most up to date one before starting with this.

The official one is hosting on GitLab so I'm not sure that would work with unraid, or even where to start with gitlab to unraid docker.

Edit: Never mind, I got it working pretty easy and quick, but it seems to unreliable compared to Agent DVR. Ill stick to what I have now.

I don't use pfsense personally, but in my firewall I block my cameras from connecting to anything on the WAN port.

Only downside is they can't connect to NTP servers for time/clock syncing... but that's far better than seeing them phone home to foreign countries for god knows what.

I've been running Shinobi for about 2 years without much issues.  Today I realized that none of my cameras had any recordings for the past 2 days. Turns out that my dedicated unassigned drive was completely full with recordings back to 2021.  The shinobi gui says the drive is only 13% used.  Has anyone seen this?  any advice on fixing it?  It's set to only keep recordings up to 30 days.  I had to manually delete recordings.  I restarted Shinobi but it's still not purging old recordings.

Ever since I updated the container 2 months ago, Shinobi has been running out of space and not deleting old files.  I thought I had something messed up so I deleted all the recordings and double checked the settings to delete after 30 days.  Now it's run over again and locked up at max storage.  Only thing I changed was updating the container.  Not sure what's going on.  Anyone else with the issue?

Do you both still have this issue @ax77 & @RodWorks? I am having a similar issue, wondering if you found a solution please?

Many thanks!

as its frustrating  every few days  all the videos are wipped  i only store like 200gb and then it whipes it by morning  like whats going on

tardis-diagnostics-20241125-0857.zip

also shinobi screws up the disk space..  right now  it says 1191.5GB  used of the 2 TB     yet the actual disk space used in unraid  is 167GB of 2 TB    and the shinobi  diskspace keeps counting up yet its actually not saving that to the hard drive like its supposed to

why is that happening?

Hi, Just started to use Shinobi pro and managed to a reolink doorbell appearing and downloading on there. My problem is that i have a Reolink Duo 3 and i can view the RTSP stream in VLC (using rtsp://admin:[email protected]/Preview_01_main) and Shinobi shows the preview on the left. But for whatever reason the camera preview when put into the dashboard just appears black.

So by trial and error I found that the sub stream works but the main stream doesnt, Would you have any suggestions?

From my personal experience you can switch out stream settings. Had the same problem on HLS and it stopped when I switched to Poseidon. Also you are better of defining audio coded instead of copy. Shinobi is a bug riddled mess but the UI is still better then ZoneMinder... Wish this could get updated to the latest version of shinobi...

So I put my network stream link into VLC and it plays fine. Paste it into Shinobi, nothing plays. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, I'm running into an issue where around 2 weeks ago I noticed that my unassigned device hard drive filled completely, but wasn't getting overwritten with new recordings. I manually deleted the old recordings, but now my stream isn't coming through to the Shinobi Dashboard.

The logging keeps repeating these errors every 2-3seconds. I greatly appreciate your help!

Ok, apparently it had something to do with the Traditional Recording settings. I had "Audio Encoder" to "Auto" which was causing the issues. If I switch this to "No Audio" it works.

I'm pretty sure Reolink RLC-410 5MP has audio, but I haven't been able to get audio out of the recordings since I originally had it working. If anyone else uses these I'd love to know if anyone got the audio to work with them!

Still can't get EUfy RTSP streams going. Is there a reason there is no RTSP input in Shinobi?

Sorry for the very late response. The solution for this was to remove the spaceinvader version and install Ivaxor version of shinobi. It's more up to date and no issues

Hi all,

So far as I can tell, Shinobi Pro installed just fine.

Is Shinobi Pro still free to use? Is there a better option?

I cannot figure out how to save any video clips I want or how to get alerts/view on my phone.

Are any of the above working options in Shinobi?

Seems like a nice product, but all I can do is add cams and view clips in Shinobi itself.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

I have tried shinobi and it didnt work for me.

I can recommend Frigate with Coral TPU for human detection. It is not perfect, but it is working well for me.

Thanks!

I'll look into it.

Shame really, seems like it could be a really nice product (Shinobi).

this version of shinobi is capped at old version the new version doesnt look exactly like this and importing this capped version into the new version you will have issues it will glitch .. also the new version caps you at like 10 to 15 cameras and need to pay a subscription fee where this capped version unlimited cameras.. it still not perfect and this capped version works well with reolink cameras displaying.. but when you run the up to date version reolink cameras dont work outta the box... i currently installed frigrate trying to figure how to set it up to test it...
