Backup other files apart from appdata from cache to array

Featured Replies

Hi,

Whats the best practise to backup other files than appdata from the cachedisk to the array?

At the moment im using CA Backup to backup the appdatafolder from my cache SSD to the array in case of failure of the cachedisk.

I want other files to be on the cachedisk only, like "my documents" of all of our PC's and our nextcloud folders for quick acces and so there is no need for the array to spin up.

If these files are only on the cachedisk, if it fails they will be lost.

I thought of creating extra folders in the appdata folders so the fils will automaticly be backed up with the CA Backup but it feels like that isnt best practise.

Any help would be appreciated.

Marty

I do not see any reason why you should not take such an approach for this particular case.   It might be preferable to having to develop your own customised solution.

Thanks for the quick reply.

If my approach isnt weird ill just try to see if it fit my needs.

Cheers !
