GPU Passthrough - Unrecoverable Error

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm having some issues with GPU passthrough on Unraid, it used to work fine, and now all of a sudden, it will not work whatsoever. I will get a picture on my monitor - Windows will get stuck on the boot screen, and then it'll BSOD. I've tried with some Linux VMs and whereas they run, they also crash after a while and have the same error in the log.

This appears in the VM log:

2019-12-25T20:33:10.533035Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio_err_notifier_handler(0000:0e:00.1) Unrecoverable error detected. Please collect any data possible and then kill the guest

And this appears in the actual system log:

Dec 25 12:33:10 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:03.2: AER: Uncorrected (Non-Fatal) error received: 0000:00:03.2
Dec 25 12:33:10 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:03.2: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Uncorrected (Non-Fatal), type=Transaction Layer, (Requester ID)
Dec 25 12:33:10 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:03.2: device [1022:1483] error status/mask=00100000/00000000

Specs of my system are:

ASRock X570 Taichi (Currently on 2.10 BIOS)

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

MSI Armor 8GB RX580

32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM

I've tried swapping the PCI slots the GPU is in already, along with upgrading and downgrading my bios back to 2.10

If anyone has any advice it'd be very much appreciated!

Thanks, and happy holidays!
