If I boot into GUI mode, I get the Firefox browser up ok but it has no menu button in the bottom left corner any more..... It's a completely blank screen behind.......So I cant get  to MC or HTOP etc.......

 

Also, if I start up a VM and then close it down, I'm also left with a completely blank screen and have to reboot the server to get back in....

 

I don't know if these things are related.

 

I have recently installed a new graphics card..... again, I don't know if this relevant either.........

 

Appreciate any thoughts please!
