Is "active directory" worth the extra expense, going from "plus" to "pro"

In choosing whether to order "plus" or "pro", I'd appreciate some advice regarding the usefulness of 'active directory'

 

I'm going to be using UnRaid as storage/media-server.  I suspect 6 drives will be sufficient, and I understand that distinction, but I'd welcome some 'Active Directory for Dummies' advice regarding how it could affect my usage.

    Active directory is a Microsoft enterprise tool for doing user authentication and authorization.  It is not typically used by a home user.  I would not consider it any sort of consideration in your purchase decision.
