VM execution error after 6.8 upgrade

The VM execution error below started after upgrading from 6.7 to 6.8 (using the GUI).

I then tried to do a fresh install of 6.8, copied a back up of the 6.7 config folder, and the same error show.

Any thoughts. Thanks.

    Does it work in safe mode when you select that from the boot menu?

    The same VM execution error occurs when booted in safe mode with GUI.

    I decided to do a fresh install of 6.8. Thanks for all the suggestions/help.
