Maybe other devices interfere your psu.

Open Terminal and type in

ls /dev/hid*

For every hidraw entry type in

corsairmi /dev/hidraw*

Here is an example from my system:

root@Node:/# corsairmi /dev/hidraw1
name: 'HX750i'
vendor: 'CORSAIR'
product: 'HX750i'
powered: 46357097 (536d. 12h)
uptime: 2321897 (26d. 20h)
temp1: 40.8
temp2: 35.2
fan rpm: 0.0
supply volts: 230.0
total watts: 32.0
output0 volts: 12.0
output0 amps: 1.8
output0 watts: 20.0
output1 volts: 5.1
output1 amps: 2.2
output1 watts: 11.0
output2 volts: 3.3
output2 amps: 0.8
output2 watts: 2.5

So i did this and figured out that hidraw1 is my power supply. But is says "unexpected device".

corsairmi /dev/hidraw1
unexpected device: 1b1c:1c1f

image.png.7415e0edb5f0416ec97b7029dca4f455.png

So maybe i should change the usb header on the mainboard?

Or any other ideas?

(I have currently no access to the server, so i will change the usb header tomorrow.)

Strange..

Here is a list of supported RMi/HXi series PSUs:

	0x1c0a, /* RM650i */
	0x1c0b, /* RM750i */
	0x1c0c, /* RM850i */
	0x1c0d, /* RM1000i */
	0x1c04, /* HX650i */
	0x1c05, /* HX750i */
	0x1c06, /* HX850i */
	0x1c07, /* HX1000i */
	0x1c1e, /* HX1000i with USB-C */
	0x1c08, /* HX1200i */
	0x1c1f, /* HX1500i */

I guess you should try another usb header. Maybe you should also try to debug with unplugging other devices.

Keep me informed! But I may be busy tomorrow..

So i changed the port multiple times but it doesn't changed anything. I hope that i have next week a free day so i can go deeper into this topic. I will then disassemble and test everything step by step.  Thanks for your help so far. :)

You can also upload the Diagnostics in the meantime :)

So, I've now looked at the hardware again and couldn't find any errors. So I took another look at the software and after running the diagnostics, I realized that I have an outdated version of this plugin installed...

This was completely my fault and it's quite embarrassing...

I have now installed the latest version from https://github.com/giganode/corsairpsu-unraid/ and now it is working completely fine 🎉

Thank you, it's not a given that you get help like this. Now everything works. 🙂

Thanks again @giganode 😄

Not always, sometimes it is only around 70W 😅

I use this Workstation mainly for testing and machine learning. So the idle is quiet high. 🙂

Does it work with rm1000 ? (not rm1000i).

I have the Link cable and I have the connector on the power supply, I will try to do the test very soon.

Do you think it would be possible to update the plugin so that it supports the RM1000 in your compatibility list?

(On Windows with Corsair Link 4, I had all the information that came back on the interface)

hey,

it does not work but maybe we can make it work.

please upload Diagnostics, I will then take a look at it 😇

Here is the diagnosis, I do not have the Corsair Unraid app installed, I hope that this will not interfere with the diagnosis?

Is anyone else having trouble running both this and the System Temp plugin?  I'm having the exact same problem as this post:

If my Corsair is plugged in and this plugin is running, it gets added to

/etc/sensors.d/sensors.conf

But System Temp chokes if the following lines are in that config file

chip "corsairpsu-hid-3-1"
ignore "fan1"

I can remove the lines and everything works correctly, both this plugin and System Temp, but unfortunately the lines return after every reboot or power cycle.

I'm out of ideas on how to fix this without modifying files every reboot.

Hey, to fix this issue automatically, you can use my following bash script. You can just set it up to run on Array Startup and you won't recognize any more:

#!/bin/bash

FILE="/etc/sensors.d/sensors.conf"

if [ -f "$FILE" ]; then
    sed -i '/chip "corsairpsu-hid[^"]*"/,+1d' "$FILE"
    echo "Entries have been removed."
else
    echo "$FILE doesn't exist."

Hi @giganode,

Could you add support for the corsair HX1200i (usb-c)?
I installed the plugin but its not working and there is no /dev/ttyUSB0.

root@TheARK:~# ls /dev/ttyUSB*
/bin/ls: cannot access '/dev/ttyUSB*': No such file or directory

root@TheARK:~# corsairmi
No compatible devices found.

root@TheARK:~# lsusb
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 1b1c:1c23 Corsair HX1200i Power Supply

Attaching the diagnostics. Please let me know if anything else is needed.

Thanks in advance. :)

I have been happily using this for some time, but it no longer shows any stats. I think it stopped showing when I upgraded to Unraid 7

EDIT

I have the HXi 1000 with a type c connection

not sure what the issue was, but after a power failure today it started working

Nice to see this continuing to be maintained, i came back to Unraid recently.... just to add my 2 cents.

The following patch to expose the temperature sensors and corsair stats still works on Unraid 7.0

6.10-rc1 breaks the above code work around, is there any plans to enable basic auth or a "Bearer Token" ?

for now i have worked around it with this

# Add Un-Authenticated access to Unraid 6.10-RC1+ for SystemTemp.php and Status.php (Corsair Plugin)
echo -e "# Fma965 Un-Authenticated Access\nlocation ~ /plugins\/corsairpsu\/status.php {\nallow all;\ninclude fastcgi_params;\n}\n\nlocation ~ /plugins\/dynamix.system.temp\/include\/SystemTemp.php {\nallow all;\ninclude fastcgi_params;\n}\n# End Fma965 Un-Authenticated Access\n\n$(cat /etc/nginx/conf.d/locations.conf)" > /etc/nginx/conf.d/locations.conf;
nginx -s reload
# End Nginx Basic Auth Patch

I chose to use a user script instead of the modified go file, i set it to the following and set it to run on first array start

# Add Un-Authenticated access to Unraid 6.10-RC1+ for SystemTemp.php and Status.php (Corsair Plugin)
echo -e "# Fma965 Un-Authenticated Access\nlocation ~ /plugins\/corsairpsu\/status.php {\nallow all;\ninclude fastcgi_params;\n}\n\nlocation ~ /plugins\/dynamix.system.temp\/include\/SystemTemp.php {\nallow all;\ninclude fastcgi_params;\n}\n# End Fma965 Un-Authenticated Access\n\n$(cat /etc/nginx/conf.d/locations.conf)" > /etc/nginx/conf.d/locations.conf;
nginx -s reload
# End Nginx Basic Auth Patch

If someone wants to do that, go ahead! I also have an ax1600i so contact me for testing and implementation afterwards 😃

It would be great to see historical stats similar to the NUT statistics page

My server has been turning itself off and I think it's because everything is drawing too much power because there's nothing in logs which indicates issues.

What PSU are you using and what is your system capable of drawing from a psu?

  • 3 months later...

I have used your plugin for year without problem, but just upgraded my PSU to HX1000i with usb-C. It shows up but missing some info? Its says 115V but I got 230V. 12V does not work?

Any idea?
