Replace single cache drive with 2 different ones

I currently have a single 240GB cache drive. I want to replace it with two 512GB ones. Can I simply add one of the new 512GB drives to the cache pool, wait for it to balance, then replace the 240GB with the second 512GB and balance it again?

    Yes, if current cache is btrfs.

    When I added the cache drive it's showing up as 677GB instead of 240GB? Isn't this supposed to default to RAID1 (240GB because of the smaller drive)?

    This is a known ‘bug’ in the way BTRFS reports free space on the case of mismatched drive sizes.     You are correct in that the usable space with 2 mismatched drives is the size of the smaller drive.
