December 31, 20196 yr Today I had a 4TB drive fail. I have a dual parity setup with an 8TB and 5TB drive. The 5TB is in the 2nd parity spot. I want to move the 5TB into the dead 4TB spot and replace it with an 8TB that I have which is precleared. I read in the forums about the "Parity Swap" procedure for a failed drive (https://wiki.unraid.net/The_parity_swap_procedure). So, I just followed the procedure and moved the 5TB parity to the old 4TB spot and added the 8TB as parity 2. Then I started the copy. After starting I became concerned that the procedure was designed for a single parity solution and it was the wrong idea. Should I cancel and choose a different process? Thank you Edited January 1, 20206 yr by dubbly
