Idaho121
Hey all, Just got some read errors on a drive when doing a monthly parity check. I paused the check - should I just let it resume? And should I take the server offline for now, or let it still run? Device is still showing normal operation. I'm assuming next steps are get a new drive, remove the old one, install the new one, and rebuild? Thanks! itimpi
First steps will be to post the system diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools -> Diagnostics) so we can see what the state of your system actually is and whether it looks like you have a disk problem or something else. 1 Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
It was a disk problem, these errors can sometimes be intermittent, though never a good sign, run an extended SMART test, if it fails you should replace the disk. 1 Quote Link to comment
Idaho121
Completed without error. Raw Value for Raw read error rate is 212, up from where it was before by quite a bit. So buy a new drive, but don't lose sleep over this? Quote Link to comment
