Hi!

 

What other software exists that are comparable to Unraid? I really want to use it, but i'm unable to because of the USB key license requirements. Who even uses usb keys today?????

 

So i'm looking for a comparable software. I have been using Stablebit drivepool and snapraid, stablebit was awesome, but unfortunately only for wiindows :(

    You probably have some misconceptions about the USB Flash drive. 

     

    Think of it as firmware except easier to work with and unbrickable.

     

    The OS is loaded into RAM from the archive on Flash at boot and runs completely in RAM. Flash is also used to record Settings you make in the webUI. Otherwise Flash isn't accessed much.
