txpenguin - Unmountable: No file system

Featured Replies

Just upgraded to 6.8.0 a few days ago -- now, this morning, Disk7 (coincidence?) shows up with this exact problem. I did the xfs_repair command and restarted the array.

Disk 7 is now 'fixed' -- but Disk 10 now shows as "Unmountable: No File System" ... this is the first problem I've encountered with UNRAID .. and to have 2 drives. within minutes of each other, pop up with this problem only days after an update seems like a bug.

Unlikely to be a bug since others aren't reporting it. And you haven't told us much to base any opinion on. If you had diagnostics, or even better, diagnostics plus syslogs that covered the occurrence of these issues, then we might have something to go on.

Also, you have posted in a thread that is already marked solved. It is essentially dead so I guess we won't consider it hijacking, but starting a new thread might have been better.

I just want to know if it is safe to 'restore' back to 6.7.2?

6.8.0 is clearly not ready for my data.

And if you don't post the diagnostics it might never be, in case there really is a problem, but it's "safe" to restore back to 6.7.2, though any unmountable dis still needs to be fixed.

I just reverted to 6.7.2, but here are the diags from the system after the downgrade / reboot. Hopefully this provides some insight.

Not for any v6.8 related issue.

Here's from a new upgrade to 6.8.0 - not sure if it would keep previous files. It did not seem to re-download anything during the upgrade...

We need to see the diags grabbed after the problem, if you want leave it on v6.8 to see if it happens again and if it does grab and post new diags.

Unrelated to this problem, but your appdata and system shares have files on the array.

Also, you have a large number of small disks. Fewer larger disks would be more troublefree and efficient.

Split into its own thread so we can keep things straight
