New Home Server Build

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a need to replace my ageing NASLite-M2 X64 as MASLite has not been supported for some time now.

I have a unRAID server up and running that I'm using for a learning/testing box and I'm ready to commit to a new build.

Before I do I would like to run the hardware list across the community to make sure I have not missed anything obvious.

My use case is as follows, main roll is file storage for my growing image files, however I also have the following Docker containers running on the test box that I will move to the new server when up, mySQL, Shinobi, resillio and Plex.

So below is my current hardware list, any feedback would be appreciated.

Fractal Design NODE 304 Black Mini ITX Case

Corsair 650W RM650x (2018) Gold Power Supply

ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac Motherboard

Intel Core i7 9700K | CPU

HyperX HX434C16FB3AK2/32 Fury RGB 32GB 3466MHz DDR4

be quiet! Dark Rock Slim CPU Cooler

Cache drive

 Samsung 860 EVO 1TB M.2 (SATA) SSD

Parity Drive x 1

Western Digital WD Purple 8TB, WD82PURZ

Data Drives x2

Western Digital WD Purple 8TB, WD82PURZ

Thanks,

Steve...

ps. I like it here, I'm going to stay...:)

I am in the same boat - coming from Naslite M2 to UnRaid. Just wondering how do you transfer your data from Naslite to Unraid? M2 - Windows10 - Unraid? I got 40TB to transfer....
