Hi folks,

 

I was hoping someone here could help me out a bit. I've enabled notify on the 'Good Deals' board but it seems im only getting notifications for some new topics posted. For example, there were 5 new posts today and i only received one notification. There were also new topics added yesterday but i didn't receive any notifications for them. Is there any way i can correct this ? The notification system seems pretty useless if not. I tried looking in account settings but couldn't find any way to make the notifications send for every new topic. Thanx for the help everyone.

On many boards only one notification is sent per thread until you visit it again and read the messages.   

I don't know about this forum software, but it works that way on AVSForum.

It seems a bit different in the case of this forum. The last time i received a notification for 'Good Deals', i immediately checked the board to see the new content. Since that time, which is at least 4-5 days ago, i have not received a single notification for the 'Good Deals' board. The reason i was hoping the notifications would work for every new topic, or even in the way you suggested, is so that i can keep up to date on new deals and not miss out on them.

 

Can any moderators comment on this ? Is there any way to change this behavior ?

I don't think this site has moderators?

No, it does not.

 

There is one user (NAS) that has some powers but it is over the wiki part of the site.

 

The only person that can move, delete, change, update, etc the forum is limetech.
