Help! Changed server name now cant access it

Featured Replies

I am totally new to unraid (and servers in general). I'm setting up a home media server and following Linus guide.

I changed the name of the server from tower to HomeMediaServer and enabled network bridging. I lost connectivity as he said I might but when I tried to navigate back to the GUI by typing http://HomeMediaServer and all I get is the 'This site can't be reached' screen.

What on Earth have I done wrong?!

Access it by IP so you can get in and change it to a shorter name.

Your router should be able to show you the IP addresses assigned to the various clients.   Alternatively applications like fing can do it on iOS and Android by scanning the network.

Fantastic, all sorted.

Many thanks for both of your help.
