Hi, I need to migrate my data to unraid. I replaced my old linux system with unraid. however there are two disk on mine are mantained by mdadm under linux and  created as mirror (raid1). I installed the plugin "Unassigned drives" but it shows the to disk labeled "FORMAT" in grey and not allowed to operate. So is there any easy way for me to mount the raid under unraid and copy data to new array with out install another operate system? Thank you!

I'm not aware of an easy way. My best guess at the most straight forward way to deal with this is a linux VM and pass through both disks using the /by-id/ location.

 

I'm pretty sure unraid replaces the mdadm system internally, making it impossible to directly mount them.

thanks. finally I got my files by reboot the machine with a ubuntu live CD.
