'Windows 10' already exists with uuid

Featured Replies

Hi, I have successfully set up a VM of windows 10.

I want to create another now, but I cannot get past this error:

VM Creation Error:

operation failed: domain 'Windows 10' already exists with uuid 2ab56e60-f665-033a-11fe-339271f4d1cc

A google search turns up nothing.

How can I fix this please?

But strange issue there is no where in the GUI to change the size of the V disk? It was there for the forst one but has now dissapeared so I cannot set a size.

You are only able to set the size during the initial setup for a vdisk. Later this isn't an option anymore because people broke their VMs in the past very often. Expanding a vdisk shouldn't be a problem but reducing the size is basically cutting away possible data. But you can still do this by clicking on the name of the VM in the VM tab overview and click on the capacity of the vdisk on the right and change it. You now only have to expand the partition inside the VM. But be warned, reducing the vdisk this way you have a high chance of breaking it.
