VM execution error

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am using Unraid 6.8.0

I have been trying for weeks to get my barebone windows server 2016 OS install to work as a VM off of my unassigned NVMe drive. (also using unassigned drives plugin).  When I start the VM, this is the error I see.

I have already watched videos on how to do VM's and passing through an NVMe drive with no luck.  Per the instructions given, I used these 2 settings in VM settings:

The syslinux config has this:

pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 vfio-pci.ids=c0a9:2263

and system devices does show the controller to be separate (although i do understand that may not necessarily be the actual case).

IOMMU group 26:[c0a9:2263] 09:00.0 Non-Volatile memory controller: Micron/Crucial Technology P1 NVMe PCIe SSD (rev 03)

I have 2 NVMe drive.  One for VM's, and one for cache.

Please help lol --Im not sure what else to do :(

Many thanks!
