rorton
I use Mac OSX, and running 6.8 Unraid - noticed a strange thing today - if I click on the log icon on the menu bar, a new window pops up which asks me to authenticate using the new Unraid logon window. Once authenticated, I see the Unraid gui again. If I click on the log icon in this new window, it then shows me the logs. Only happens in the Safari browser - chrome works fine. Quote Link to comment
meep
I've encountered this on iPad as well. Cannot recall if it's restricted to Safari. Quote Link to comment
wgstarks
AFAIK this issue is only in Safari. I can confirm that FireFox definitely does not have this problem. In Safari I have only had to log in again one time. Subsequent attempts to view the log don’t require a login as long as I don’t close the main window. Quote Link to comment
meep
I’ve just verified this issue exists on Chrome on iOS (iPad). Unraid 6.8.0 Quote Link to comment

Makes sense I can also clarify it's an issue when attempting to access VM log files, as well as the originally reported system log file accessed via the menu bar. Quote Link to comment
jazzy192
Happens on my MacBook Pro 16 in Safari. I mentioned it a while ago either here or Reddit and people basically just thought I was dumb or something. Its fine in Chrome on my Windows 10 VM though Quote Link to comment
kennymc.c
I can also confirm this bug. It occurs in Safari on macOS and iOS. While on macOS you get to see the popup the second time, on ios you hang in a continuous loop. Quote Link to comment
Weavus
Did this ever get resolved? I also see the same behaviour on viewing Docker logs and consoles. Quote Link to comment
CS01-HS
Click the link once and it'll open a pop-up window with a login prompt. Click it again and the pop-up will display what it should have the first time. That's a workaround. I don't think there's a fix. Quote Link to comment
nicx
Thats really a pity that there is still no fix for this. The user comfort suffers but extremely if you do not want to use chrome. Quote Link to comment
Interstellar
This is still a problem on iOS 15. Can’t for example open any log page (scripts or system). This needs to be resolved, if it’s a webkit thing then open a normal page instead… Quote Link to comment
