Cache drive not working?

Featured Replies

1) I set "Min. free space:" in "Shares" web screen to 2000, is it MB? KB? B? b?

2) When can I find the Mover log file?

3) If I set a swap file to /mnt/cache/swap/ will it be copied when a mover script start its operation?

I know, a lot of question, but I couldnt find an answer in the wiki.

Thank you.

It is logged to the syslog  (/var/log/syslog)

Maybe, but maybe not.. I've never tried it... If it it detected as an open file by fuser, it will not be moved.  I have no idea if fuser will detect it as being in use.  I personally do not use a cache drive.  I've never had the need.

You could put the swapfile in a subdirectory named /mnt/cache/.swap/

Directories on the cache drive named with a leading "." are not copied.

Just a quick note: The swap file must be turned off before stopping the unRAID array as it will unable to un-mount the cache drive and will NOT stop until you turn off the swapfile.
