Pfsense Bridge network

Featured Replies

Hi

Can you get bridge to work in pfsense?

All guides i have found is passthrough netcard.

I got a supermicro x8sil-f with two ports. 2x Intel 82574L

I'm on a hyper-v setup now and using only one port for all hyper-v guest and it's working.

I see the benefits with unraid but need this to work to make the move.

I don't use the pfsense as my main router so performance is not the highest prio.

I want to use static ip for WAN and i want LAN to be on a "private"  VLAN.

Don't know if i'm thinking right but think the most logic thing to do is using one port exclusive for unraid and the other for VM guest.

Other solution....

I saw there was something called "bond" to make the two port to be one. Can it work good?

And if you must passthrough netcard to pfsense you can do it with one and make a solution with it?

Can someone show me what to write in the "config" file or just tell me it wont work you need more netcards.

Tried a bit but can get Pfsense to see my bridge attempts.

thanks in advance

Daniel
