January 16, 20206 yr Hello, Well the topic shows the problem. The HBA card cuts the memory in half by disabling one dimm. After some reading I know it's a SMBus problem. The solution I found is masking pin 5 and 6 on the card. But, is there another more elegant way to solve this problem? Btw: A M1015 work fine without any problem... January 17, 20206 yr If you're using a Supermicro board there are usually jumpers to disable SMB to the PCIe slots.
January 17, 20206 yr Author Hm ok. Then I will leave the tape on these two pins for now. The next unraid build should include way more server gear to avoid these problems.
