Very slow read speed from array

Featured Replies

I'm having an issue with very slow read speeds from one of my drives.  I don't believe the entire array is affected, it looks like just one drive.  When I'm reading I get less than 5MB/s speed.  It's painfully slow.  Configuration is local server and local PC, two separate computers.  I'm not trying to run a VM from Unraid, this is a separate computer.  I have nothing else active right, no VMs or Dockers having disk activity.

I've tried suggestions from this post and it didn't work:

ethtool info:

root@Bernard:/mnt/user/Games# ethtool bond0
Settings for bond0:
        Supported ports: [ ]
        Supported link modes: Not reported
        Supported pause frame use: No
        Supports auto-negotiation: No
        Supported FEC modes: Not reported
        Advertised link modes: Not reported
        Advertised pause frame use: No
        Advertised auto-negotiation: No
        Advertised FEC modes: Not reported
        Speed: 1000Mb/s
        Duplex: Full
        Port: Other
        PHYAD: 0
        Transceiver: internal
        Auto-negotiation: off
        Link detected: yes

EDIT: Apparently my 5MB/s speed was due to the terrible game I was trying to load.  Normal speeds are around 60-70 which is still much slower than what they should be.

If it's just from one drive the drive itself could be the problem, run a test with the diskspeed docker.

Apparently its the game.  It has terrible speed from a network drive apparently as other games aren't having a problem.  Diskspeed shows the disk having 100+MB/s speed so it's not a disk issue.
