January 22, 20206 yr Hi, I value your opinion for this SMART report on disk3 having read issues. Extended SMART test ran successfully and passed. I'm still in doubt if I need to replace this early indication it's failing. Read errors, when unraid can rewrite them successful, should be okay-ish as stated here: https://wiki.unraid.net/Troubleshooting#Hard_drive_failures What is your opinion? Thank you in advance! January 22, 20206 yr It was a disk problem, you can see the recent UNC @ LBA error (read error) on the SMART report, these errors can be intermittent, but the very high Raw_Read_Error_Rate attribute is a very bad sign on WD drives, it will likely fail again soon.
January 22, 20206 yr Author Thank you for your quick reply. It confirms my feeling. I will replace it for a new one and RMA this one (still within warranty). Refurbished one (I expect I would get a refurbished one) will go to the NAS back-up
