oleg-123
I plan on moving my current storage server off of Supermicro X9SRI-F-O mobo with a Xeon E5-2628L v2 CPU to a server with a Ryzen 2700x I had laying around. I'll move all the hard drives and replace the current cache SSD with an NVMe drive. Do I just move the USB drive with current unRaid configuration to the new server or do I need to do anything before? Do I need to purchase a new licence? Thanks for your help! Quote Link to comment
jpowell8672
Just move it over but good practice is to make a backup of USB drive and screenshot of array drives. 1 Quote Link to comment
itimpi
As long as you move the USB drive then you do not need a new license as your current license is tied to that USB drive. 1 Quote Link to comment
jpowell8672
You will want to move your cache drive contents to array before upgrading your cache drive then move back to new cache drive. Edited January 22, 2020 by jpowell8672 1 Quote Link to comment
