Access to server from OpenVPN on MacOS

Featured Replies

Hi, kinda new here:

Running Unraid 6.7.2, using Plex (plexinc/pms-docker) and OpenVPN (linuxserver/openvpn-as) dockers.

I'm able to login and administer everything from Windows machines, but for some reason my Mac (OS X 10.10.5) simply refuses to connect to the server. I know it's connected to the network via OpenVPN (I can ping most IPs on the network no problem, including my Windows PC, and the router), and I can ping the Mac from the Windows PC. I've tried both smb and afp, but the Mac simpy says the server doesn't exist/can't be found (no prompt for login/password, no selection of shares). I've checked my shares for enhanced macOS compatibility, and even created a fresh share to test with, but no dice.

Everything else on the server runs just fine, I can access everything locally and remotely via OpenVPN just fine - except on the Mac.

Anyone run into this before?

Are you saying that you are trying to connect the (local) Mac to the (remote) server via a VPN tunnel? The remote endpoint is provided by the OpenVPN docker. What is providing the local endpoint?
