'/mnt/cache/isos' can't be found

Featured Replies

Hi forum,

just up until a recent reboot everything worked fine on my Unraid server but now it seems like my Windows 10 VM can't access the 'isos' folder under /mnt/cache/isos thus no access to my 'Graphic ROM Bios'. The security was set to private before but I just changed it to public with no success. Any suggestions how to proceed?

Do you actually have an isos share? What is its cache settings? Can you find the file under /mnt/user/isos?

Yup, I have a share called 'isos' and here's the settings for the share: PY92fwU.png

And yes - the files exist under /mnt/users/isos/

You set "Use cache" = Yes.

As the page states: "Mover transfers files from cache to array"

So files are on the array, thus they disappear from /mnt/cache.

Set it to Prefer, run the mover (to move the files back to cache) then set it to Only.

"Only" is the settings to keep files on cache.

(assuming your cache pool isn't filled up).

And when I am trying to start my VM this comes up:

internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2020-01-29T16:52:37.173662Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=0000:01:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x5,romfile=/mnt/cache/isos/EVGA.GTX1080.8192.180308 (1).rom: failed to find romfile "/mnt/cache/isos/EVGA.GTX1080.8192.180308 (1).rom"

That is because the files are not in /mnt/cache.

See my reply just above your last post.

I need to quote Jimmy Cliff - 'I can see clearly now'. Thanks!
