casperse
Hi All I got a PAS email on all drives today, but after logging into the UI I got this pop-up Unraid Disk 10 SMART health [22]: 30-01-2020 01:25 Warning [TOWER] - helium level (failing now) is 23 WDC_WD80EFZX-68UW8N0_VKHR62YX (sdt) Looking at the smart data: and on the overall status page: Do I need to change some settings, since I didn't get a FAIL in the daily report? Or maybe a Warning email? Disk 10 - WDC_WD80EFZX-68UW8N0_VKHR62YX (sdt) - active 22 C [OK] Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Please post a full smart report of disk10, according to the screenshot helium level attribute is not and never was failing. Quote Link to comment
casperse
Yes it's very strange? Here is the downloaded file, could the notification be a old one? I have swapped and added drives during the last 4 days? I just noticed that one of the WD drives same model does not show any Helium status on the SMART status? I am currently moving all data away from drive 10 but that might be a mistake! Thanks @johnnie.black for helping me making sence of the SMART info WDC_WD80EFZX-68UW8N0_VKHR62YX-20200130-1153.txt Quote Link to comment

It's not the same model: WD80EFZX-68UW8N0 - 1st gen helium filled model WD80EFAX-68LHPN0 - 2nd gen helium filled model WD80EFAX-68KNBN0 - newer air filled model 17 minutes ago, casperse said: could the notification be a old one? Right! Same size not same model! - Should I be concerned about the type: Old Age? I have looked and all drives show "Green thumb" so I don't know what drive this Helium warning could be for? Guess I just have to complete my data migration from my Synology and start Parity 1+2 for the array, and see if the error re-surfaces? Quote Link to comment

No, what matters is if the attribute is failing on not, now or in the past, the "failed" column. 28 minutes ago, casperse said: and see if the error re-surfaces? Yep Quote Link to comment

I just purchased two WD80's. To my surprise, what arrived were WDC_WD80EFAX-68LHPN0's. I thought all new stock was air filled. Helium is a plus for me, they run a few degrees cooler.
