Speed problem with new drive on sil3132 adapter

I'm preclearing two Seagate 2TB LP drives.  One connected to mobo sata port, one connected to sil3132 port.  

 

The drives are identical.  The read speed on the sil3132 is half that of the other.

 

Edit: I'm trying to post the syslog but it's too big.

    Here is the first chunk of the syslog.

     

     

    EDIT:  I restarted the preclear on a second sil3132 adapter and it's running the same speed as the onboard sata port does.  At this point I think the card is dying.  It could be the cable but I don't think so.
