February 1, 20206 yr my curcuial bx500 120GB ssd run a problem and my pc doesn't boot correctly when I unplug the ssd the pc run correctly I run a test on it it shows that its smart failed (temperature) any one has a solution for this it was almost new
February 2, 20206 yr Even though this has nothing to do with unraid, i approved it for general knowledge. Any smart attribute that is failing means that the drive is failing. Since your drive is obviously running hot and is beyond the temperature threshold dictated by the manufacturer have you attempted to increase its cooling? Increasing cooling is the solution for any temperature related problem
February 2, 20206 yr It's a firmware bug on those Crucial SSD, no way the threshold should be 50C, max operating temp is 70C, like most SSDs, you can ignore.
