Windows 10 - „ The Local Device Name is Already in Use“

Featured Replies

Since a few weeks Windows shows me from time to time the following error: The Local Device Name is Already in Use. It got very annoying the last days whenever I try to do something on the shares of my unraid server.

The issue started since I installed an windows server 2006 vm on unraid.
i am using an PCIe 10gig Intel ethernet Card and the vm uses a bridged connection.

I would suggest that you Google     The Local Device Name is Already in Use   There are many hundreds of posts about this problem occurring with Windows networking.

I already tried to find a solution by googling. But the Main-Suggestion was to re-mount the share and it didn‘t help. If you found anything else, please tell me.
