I've been trying to setup a Hassio VM but I've not been having any luck.  I've been following the guide I found here: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/hassio-on-unraid/59959

 

I used the Linux template, pointed to the hassio 3.8 vmdk (SATA), OVMF, Q35-4.2.  Things start well, it boots, however it's unable to retrieve an IP address.  The VM doesn't show up in my router's client table (I checked the VM's MAC), http://hassio.local:8123 nor http://hassio:8123 work.  So I'm stuck at the moment, it feels like there's something simple I've missed.  Any suggestions?

 

The other issue I have is, many commands I see referenced in other forums (nmcli, journalctl, etc) all result in "Error while executing rootCmd: unknown command "xxx" for "hassio""

 

 

Actually, just ran "supervisor repair" and it "magically" started working.

How did u run the supervisor repair?

Im having a lot of touble with strucure needs cleaning on my hassio VM. 

I've had it working in a VM for some time. It was actually really simple following the guide.
