Audio pass through issues and lurking demons

Featured Replies

So I have been having loads of audio issues it seems lately. I fixed the demonic issue with my NVIDIA graphics sound. Also, at one point I had my integrated sound card passed through to all my VMs. Before I updated Unraid (or something), I also had USB audio on my Astro Gaming headset without any issues.

However, for some reason after a reboot of the server, I no longer have the integrated Intel audio as an option in my VM sound card options. This is the main issue I want solved. I followed this guide to make it work in the first place:

However, my issue was not the same as what he describes. My sound card was showing up just fine in the VM but when I would select it in the VM I would have no sound. I followed his guide thinking it might just work, and it did!! but now 5 days later and a couple reboots and it has stopped. Now, it seems I actually do have the same issue he was having with the sound card not being an option in the VM's sound card options. Yet, worse than that I don't even see my sound card device in my system devices. I restored my Flash config to what it was originally and tried rebooting a couple times to find my sound card (I also switched PCIe ACS override back to disabled).

I am probably missing something quite simple, but it is beyond me. I will post my Syslinux configuration and a screen shot of my system devices.

Any help will be much appreciated!

The other issue I am having is that there is a lot of interference over my USB astro headphones. Cracking/ high treble. The device works fine on my bare metal Linux install and in windows. I suppose I will have to start another thread for that issue...
