[solved] UPS Connection Error

Featured Replies

Hello!

I have an EATON 5E 2000i USB UPS. I connected it to my UnRaid server with USB cable. The server sees the USB connection, I verified this on TOOLS/System Devices.

Bus 001 Device 026: ID 0463:ffff MGE UPS Systems UPS

I constantly get UPS Alert Communications restored with UPS notification and the APCUPSD show that the communication lost.

The notification is coming non stop.

I verified the UPS on another Synology system with the same USB cable, it Works perfectly. Can somebody help me with this?

I have only USB 3.1 Gen1 or Gen2 port. Both of them have the same issue.

Probably on a motherboard header. Don't know if it would help or not.

Is Synology using APCUPSD?

I found an adapter for the internal USB 2 header. The behaviour is the same.

I don't know what is the built in Synology UPS based on.
