Docker completely hangs

Featured Replies

Totally new to unraid, came from OMV, still running the trial. I spent a day setting up all my docker images, figured that it was pretty clean and simple. Wake up this morning, no containers accessible. The web interface for Unraid is intermittently responsive, I can load the settings page, but can't really get into any settings, I can't get to the docker page. The share loads fine, I can connect via SSH.

See if you can get the diags, either from the GUI (tools -> diagnostics) or by typing diagnostics on the console.

I hard reset the system and everything came back up. I ran the "restart" command via SSH, but apparently it never executed that. I'm guessing something was locking the CPU or memory.

So after the hard reset, I was able to generate diagnostics. Do you want the entire zip file, or is there just a particular section needed?

Diags after a reboot don't do us much good, if it happens again try to download them before, then post the complete zip.

Will do. I suspect I won't be able to get to those, tbh. I could get in via SSH, browse share, but even simple things like htop and nano failed to load, and my reboot command via SSH or the local console. Weird that it worked to browse the share, didn't try writing.

I think I might have figured it out. I had hardware transcoding enabled with Plex with only one GPU, 2 VM's, and 9 docker containers running. I disabled hardware transcoding and it hasn't crashed since.
