I am adding a disk to my arraya and need to move a number of folders around to clean things up. Problem is that when I move a folder though windows is changes the "created date" of the folder and that messes up other things for me. So is their a way to move folders though telnet or something that leaves the created date alone, or an easy way to change the created date after moving them?

Check the man page for cp.  There is a '-p' flag that will preserve the stuff you are looking to keep.
