Random crashes

Featured Replies

Hi Unraid community,

New user of UNRAID I am very enthusiastic about the idea of staying on UNRAID. But I am a little unmotivated by the many crashes.

The server has run maximum 1 day without crash. Yesterday the WebGUI no longer worked, today the full server ...

Here you will find a screenshot of the page before restarting

My config :

Rysen 7 2700x

MB MSI B450 Gaming plus Max

RAM : 32GB

PS : 650W Enermax (Old age)

2 SSD cache

3 DD data

Docker : Duckdns, Openvpn-as

VM : Ubuntu server

Could you help me ?

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad English I'm French

Ok thank you for your reply

I already config "Power Supply Idle Control" to "typical current idle"

By cons I have two RAM sticks (2x16) and I activate the XMP option (3200Mhz)

Do I have to try without XMP mode?

It's Crucial Ballistix sport LT CL16 3200 MHz

Run the RAM without overclocking.

ok i will test this and I will share the results

TY

I used to have lots of crashes with the early launch of the Ryzen 1700x but mostly due to the ram incompatibility, eventually I looked at a similar ram in the compatibility table of the motherboard and set the clocks and speeds accordingly.

I have the corsair LPX 3200 clocked at 3000 timings at 15-17-17-17-35 & been up for over a week since the last update, if the ram isnt listed you might want to do the same & get the best performance out of the CPU if needed.

As @johnnie.black said, you can run without overclocking for a while to see if there are any other underlying factors that might have lead to the kernel panic.

I switched my server RAM (Crucial Ballistix sport LT CL16 3200 MHz 2x16GB) with my home laptop (Crucial Ballistix sport LT CL16 3000 MHz 4x8GB).

I conserved the OC profile for the new RAM (2993Mhz instead of 3200Mhz)

The system is stable actually, I will share the results in few days

Thank you for your help
